Spacious and clean house, perfect for our stay. Kids enjoyed the pool and having two living rooms was fantastic for our group. Very large master. We will be renting here again in future years.

We all truly enjoyed our stay at 4Forty4 cabins in Decatur/Alvord Texas. We also loved the Wise county Park beach over in Chico, Texas. Even though it was hot weather, the breeze off the lake made for a perfect relaxing day at the beach. I recommend a pop-up tent and a cooler for drinks. The water was pretty clear for a lake. Boating would have been fun also or paddle boarding. Our family enjoyed the time swimming and cooling off while the kids made sand figures. The cabins here were very comfortable and the natural habitat was peaceful. We saw deer, all kinds of birds, roadrunners, jack rabbits, and armadillos. It was a great country experience away from the city!

A nicely interior decorated lake house that is perfect for a family gathering. We took two couples and three young children and the house was great. You have to check-in through a third party app that I don't care for in the era of constant scams. However, I understand some management companies use. The only reason this location looses a star is that the deck needs to be repainted and the hot tub was not functioning. The rest of the house was perfect including the small gaming barn with figer shuffleboard. The only other thing I would note is that you have to take a very bumpy dirt road about two miles to get to the house. If you are planning to make multiple trips out of the property it gets tiresome. Also, Google maps will try and take you the wrong way to the property. Ask the host for directions.

- Very communicative and helpful hosts. - very well kept premises and facilities. Clean private bathrooms. - good clean bedroom. - small communal gaming area Came here on sudden couple getaway. Great for glamping or camping if that’s what you’re looking for. Other than that, it’s just a small pond. If you’re going as a couple, go for a peaceful evening. You won’t being going anywhere nearby so it’s definitely a getaway. I think the place would really shine for a large group as it’d be more exciting. All 4 cabins are next to each other so it’s good for a communal night. I would reserve again if I’m bringing a group of friends.

exceptional experience

Had an amazing time and stay it was the perfect place for our family we loved it being right off the water patio was amazing!

My spouse and I stayed in one of the cabins and absolutely loved it! It was beautiful, serene, quiet and everything we were looking for. It was perfect for us to relax and connect for a couple of days.

The cabin was a perfect get away!! So peaceful and quiet. Jaci was amazing at letting us know what we can go to find some food and was really great at responding.

Pictures did not do it justice! If you’re looking for a peaceful get away that’s still within driving distance of a city this is the place! Local recommendations came in very handy as well!

My husband, daughter an I loved our stay! The pictures and descriptions of the house don’t do justice to how adorable it really is! It’s in a safe quiet neighborhood that’s super close to the town square. You can see and hear the courthouse bells from the house. We plan on staying again soon! Jaci was very attentive and kind. She made our stay extremely enjoyable!

Beautiful farmhouse, charming and welcoming home! Highly recommend!

Very cozy, super clean home. Walkable to few local / good restaurants and convenience store. Especially loved sitting in rocking chairs on front porch. Although love that home was pristine, this means there is only salt & pepper in kitchen; so if you’re cooking, bring your own spices.
